Uttoxeter-based Inspire, a branch of Gallery Studios (Photography) Ltd, is the brainchild of photographer Howard Grigg.

Howard, who has been a professional photographer for 20 years, this year decided Inspire would be the best way to take his company forward.

"Photography has changed dramatically over the past decade, particularly with the rise of digital technology, so I decided it was time for my business to also move with the times."

"The photography studio at Inspire has had a revamp and is now very contemporary to match the photographs I take."

Howard's studio, in Bridge Street, Uttoxeter, overlooks the magnificence of the town's St Mary's Church.

Inside Inspire the atmosphere is relaxed and a place where Howard speaks to clients about exactly what they want to get from their photographs.

"I specialise in weddings, portraiture, commercial and corporate photography plus photography for newspapers and magazines - pretty much anything really."

"A family photo is treasured forever and corporate photos can make the difference between getting a business deal or not getting a business deal. I understand these things and it is always at the front of my mind to make sure the photos are what the customer wants."

At Inspire photos can be printed to A1 size, in colour, black and white or toned. A framing and album service is also available, with all kinds of designs, colours and specifications met to a high class standard.

The most modern technology and up-to-date cameras are used and the Inspire studio contains all kind of backdrops - from traditional to modern - as well as Bowens studio lighting.

Howard specialises in portraits and has recently worked extensively on portfolios for various models. He makes subjects feel at ease and has a unique way of getting the very best from the click of a camera button.

"The public view of photography is that it is something anyone can do these days. But to get that extra special something from a photograph you need an expert; that's where I come in."
